Does anyone here have a problem with the head bolt holes being to big on the Edelbrock heads on the flathead Fords??

The heads are able to be moved quite a bit even with all the bolts loosley snugged in place, haven't measured the amount, but its very loose??

I think I have the 1115 or 1116 number heads, not sure. They are actaully hitting the valves if positioned wrong.

Is there any way to make this better or right?

If you are going to keep them, you may want to investigate using some shouldered washers. I think that the shouldered washers are a good idea to use anyway to keep the stud or bolt centered in the hole and reduce contact between dissimilar metals resulting in electrolysis. Without the corrosion, the heads should be easier to remove.

The heads are new I don't have the boxes here the customer brought them in and kept the boxes.

I can put a 1/2" drill bit in all the holes, this is whats letting the heads move around so much

Really looking for a way to line them up better before I put this motor together.
