Editing a title question

If I edit a ***le of my post and someone is receiving alerts to the post will it stop sending alerts after the ***le change. Also what about if someone has clicked "watch thread", will that be screwed up when the original post ***le is changed. Or does it all just follow a link which doesn't matter if the ***le has changed.

A ***le change shouldn't change those other things.
