Is this Edmunds head for a dodge flat 6? A friend has it and wondering value. This is not a for sale add. He picked it up out of a barn.
In Canada all Chrysler products used the 25” block. In the US Dodge and Plymouth I believe used the 23” block. If anyone wants to get rid of a 25” head let me know!!
I have an old 25" Edmunds head. Swiss cheese like more than likely. Any value or fixable in that bad of condition?
They're good heads when clean of porosity and milled flat. Yours doesn't look too bad. Here's one I installed on a 1934 Dodge 6 a few years ago. Note, that the water neck on the Edmunds head is further back than the stock location, much closer to the 2nd line of head bolts. I'm not sure why, but it just means you'll need a longer byp*** hose and a little longer upper radiator hose. Compared to a 1955 Plymouth: and a 1950 Plymouth: Best of luck finding it a new home, they're not reproducing them anymore, so it's becoming a collectible piece.
I suspect the water neck is further back to make space for the sparkplug well. Edmunds moved the sparkplug more central than stock
