Thought you would enjoy about this small video I shot here in Finland during 2011 Finnish Ford Nationals event . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su29fM0-sIw Doing burn outs in rain is never easy, but with enough power it's doable .
My step-dad is a big Edsel fan, I'll have to show him this next time I see him. Thats great, not what I think of when I hear Edsel.
Yep, he had slicks for drag racing, old ones for burn out contest and nice ones for car show and circuit racing .
Its an Edsel Corsair 2D HT coupe from 1959. It's in fantastic shape, owner restored every nut and bolt. Edsel has now stroked FE 432 cid, edel. heads & intake, mechanical roller, strenghtened C6 and 31 splines axles with detroitlocker. A true sleeper Edsel. Owner is a real hiperformance nutcase, he is sensless for highspeed & highpower. Edsel is very nice and don't you worry, he loves the car and it will be cherishded and hammered!!!! He drove at Finnish Ford Nationals 2011 13.156s @ 106 mph on quarter, not bad from ol' edsled eh?
DAMN! i had to watch it twice._____thanks for sharing,my dad had a 59 Corsair W/ a 430 linc.when i was a kid, jeez that thing got stolen 3 times while we lived in St Luis never found it the last time.....
Those guys driving by seemed unconcerned about what he was doing Were those for sale signs in the back side wihdows? That would have been part of my sales pitch also if I were tryin to sale a car to a buddy when I was in my teens,to show them what it would do
Another video from Finland, I do not want to spin tires, too expensive for me :O) <iframe width="853" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7speAMtGKzM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
