I live close to a huge 55 and up retirement community.
I always have time for questions and comments from those that were there(and I'm not that young myself)and want to talk about old cars.
Unfortunately,out of all those that live there,there are 3 or 4 that still have a cool car(damn HOA!).
I've met some really great people,and have come across some cool things.
Some of the stuff I have has a story attached to it.
Other stuff,well,it's just stuff.

I'm on both sides of this,the "having it and you don't" and "wanting it and you can't have it".
One thing I've had to realize is,just because I have all this stuff doesn't mean I can actually enjoy it.
When it takes more time to maintain what I have than enjoying what really matters to me,it's time to let all that "extra baggage" go.

 

I gave a pretty vague idea of where they are, Florin is a HUGE area in Sacramento, and has junk yards in all corners, they could be anywhere. I'd appreciate if I wasn't put in with the liars thank you.

 

After Jan. 20 2009 he'll have to share his stuff with those of us that don't have any so this debate is moot!LOL

I don't even know him, but I hate him.... And to think, all I want is one 410 block that can be bored and made usable..............

 

This whole hoarding thing is always a touchy subject, but I look at it like this, if you are driving it, and enjoying it, or if it's a parts car you need for another project or really going to do something in the near future, or some other legit reason, then fine, thats cool.

And of all people I get having "stuff". I love having things to enjoy looking at them, my shop and office has all kind of crap that only I probly enjoy. But I can not wrap my mind around the idea of buying cars just watch them slowly turn to junk!

These dumb-asses that just let cars go to shit for no reason really piss me off. I'm sure everyone knows of a car that at one time could have been put back on the road, but cause some crazed nut thinks no one should have it but them, or thinks its worth 100 times more than it really is just sits and rots back to the ground.

Funny, they love something SO much they would rather let it go to waste. This goes if is 1 car or 1000, it's all the same.

The only good thing about real hoarders is most of the time they are old, and will luckly die off soon.

Does this dude even know how rare those Edsels are and the parts he has. Those pics make me sick to my stomach. I can't find the bottom rocker molding passenger side for my Edsel to save my life, but damn I know he has tons of them. Screw car hoarding.

 

There's a guy down the street from me this thread reminds me of.

Everytime I drive by, I'm reminded that I deserve it more than he does. I think he should share with me what he has too. I could definately give it a better home than he is and I'd sure use it a lot more often. I have big plans. It all doesn't seem fair since I really would like a turn at his wife.

Where in the hell do some of you get off thinking you deserve to have what someone else has bought and paid for? You have no idea as to the whys and wherefores of why he has them. Nor will some of you ever begin to understand because that is the way much of society is today. If you see it and want it it should be yours. Grow up and earn it. I think I can safely say it's the likely reason he's know as an S.O.B. he's been exposed to this selfish attitude in the past. I'd boot your ass off also if you came around with that same attitude
