Hi guys, well i have a buddy with a 55 packard, with a bendix brake booster, he bought it and had his brother install it about 8 months ago, i guess everything was fine up until yesterday when he went to start it. When he starts the car, the pedal drops to the floor, constantly applying the brakes, and when he shuts the car off, it rises to normal again, my initial thought was vacuum, anyone have any ideas on a good starting spot, or whats wrong all together?

The problem will probably turn out to be a stuck air control valve on he servo unit. Disconnect the vacuum to it and the brakes should not self apply. That will be the clue.
