Ok so I have a question about this. How do you push the springs through the clear tubes? I'm having a bitch of a time getting them all the way through.

slide a piece of wire through first, then PULL the springs through.

And hook one end of the spring to the bracket prior to pulling it through the clear tubing.

Nice looking castings! Where are these from and are they still available if you don't mind me asking?

Why is it one can pull with a rope put not push with one?

Someone on here was chasing a set of Eelco tank brackets which are no longer available. He would love those which appear to be brand new.

  9. Those are the new repops you could get on eBay, the originals have "cat eye" holes, I have both

I like the new ones better.:) I guess this may be one time the re-pops are better than the originals (at least to me).

The originals are a die cast part, not sand cast. You can tell by the small circles on the edge. I have cast some new ones in the past. I suppose I could see about doing it again.

  12. Wish someone would repop the ones with the leaf-shaped holes!

Ok I will get some made of the oval hole type. The ones that take a round rod in rubber to hold the tank, not springs. I will wait til Friday at noon before I send my order to the foundry. Whoever wants some must PM me by then.
