eiditing titles on main page

ok i just added a pic link and some pics to my thread about the dayton hotrod fest and i went advanced on the first post to change the ***le soo people would know i wasnt just bumping a dead thread the ***le did change but it doesnt show on the main page ive seen others do this how do i?

Click edit
Click go advanced
Edit the ***le
Should show on main Page

 

It's not working for me ether,,it did at one time but doesn't anymore. HRP

 

I though you could only change the ***le within the first day or so of the thread opening? Maybe I'm wrong. I had to ask a mod to change a ***le for me once before.

I Tried today as above and it didn't work, but it did as recently as a week or so ago. Something is different hummmm
