Here now, patrol duty return road #6 tomorrow. After walking the course I do not believe it will hold up all day. I believe it is still to wet about 1" down. Better than last month and July and Sept will be better. But we shall see starting about 7:45 am in the morning....

top end was pretty bad last month, lots of fishtailing and a handful that went all the way around. Hope it holds up better tomorrow

I'll be there to bring a friend that hasn't been since he was a teenager. He's in his later 80's now. Last month was crazy with the spin outs for sure. Glad they all came out of it just fine.

Wind out of the west. First 15 vehicles set records. 50 had run in 2 hrs. 70 are here. Held for winds over 20 mph @ 9:30... hope to resume soon.

Went to ElMirage for my 69th birthday from Texas. What a neat place; saw approximately 150 cars make p***es down the 1.2 mile track. It only cost $7.50 for admission(land owned by the federal gov't) and we stayed all day. Went to Pomona the next day---cost $72 for a pit p***! Went to Moon,H & H flatheads, spent 2 hours at SoCal with Pete Chapouris(super nice guy, very personable and funny);really enjoyed the Cali experience.

We didn't get a chance to run. They canceled the meet due to high winds when we were in line. From now on I'm going to pay more attention to the weather prior to loading up, and driving 150 miles...

Pulled in at the line up @ 10:45 and seen them. When the day was officially called I went back to take a photo by your buggy but you had gone. Here's my friend (I spoke of earlier) plus myself. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
