sat bbq will probably work, we'll be setup somewhere on the north/return road side of the course. hows 6pm for cooking time sound? maybe meet up a little earlier? i'll supply hotdogs/ hamburgers for everyone, i'm going to nominate geeman51 to be the chef if he ends up going along :) i'll grab some chips and other goodies too, if anyone wants to bring along something to share post it up so we don't end up with a ton of food.

lets get a head count going

oh yeah can't wait to see the roadster in person billy

Anybody comming from the SF Bay Area. I have a dissasembled Lotus 907 aluminum race motor that wants to go to George Calaways on the edge of the lake bed. It's in San Mateo now and you get $50 for gas money and a tour of George's stuff parked all around his house and Dave Cox also has a lot of stuff I think including his twin Rolls-Merlin powered streamliner. The tour is worth the trip.

I'll be there from noon Friday. Male bonding and beer, it's a good thing. I'll be either in impound or at the White Goose Bar all weekend.

Dont cost much to go to El Mirage. gas money mostly. If you camp out thats free. Take food and drink with you. Now you have to pay to get in or out but it's not that bad.

    Hey,

I'll be there and plan on bringing my Dad with me to share the occassion (my first time out). I'll be towing the roadster out there although it is not running as good as it should, maybe I can get a few of the four-banger guys give it a look see. It'll be great to have it out there and get a few pictures for my photo album and most of all check out the races!! This 2009 SCTA season will be 60 years since it turn 115.97 mph at El Mirage.

I just dug out the original 40's wishbone trailer hitch out of my dad's garage that they used to tow the roadster. I'll be flat bedding it out to the dry lakes. I have all my pictures at home so, I'll post a few after work.

I look forward to seeing all the HAMBers out there too.

    Gaters -

  29. They should be charging the $15 to get out. Last year they did not ask how many days you were there. $15 per vehicle, tow rig, trailer, etc was included.

I had some friends leave just before 2 on a Sunday and nobody was collecting money. We were 10 minutes behind them and they had the guy out there.

"Supposedly" the back ways have all been shut down. BLM has had 6 months to work on their procedures regarding this, so expect to pay the $$.

    See you guys there.

  30. BILLY i won't be at this one, trying to meet a santa maria deadline. hope you'll be bringing the roadster out to the june meet. really looks bitchin congrats.
