Sux because we're 18th in points but we are not going to show.
Taking the car apart to get ready for next season. Reworking the engine for more power, the trans 'cause the kid knocked a dog out of it I think, & I REALLY REALLY need to paint the POS. Don't know much on the body & paint side of things but no time like the presant to learn.
The boys and I might show and help in tech on saturday but not sure yet.

Of course I need another record! Isn't that why we race? I'm 4th in the bikes and 11th overall. I have to be there. A top 10 overall finish would be a great way to end the season.

 

Won't be there that weekend. But a bunch of us from Dago, Lifter's Car Club will be there in November for the last race weekend of the season. So we will see you then.

I am looking got to be there. Just have to finish my shifter, trans hump and I should be solid.

I'll be there, too. Thought it might be a good starting point for some so-cal vacation... What about camping at El Mirage? I heard it might get quite cold during the night at this time of year. Any hotels recommended in the next town? (it's because of my girlfriend... I for myself wouldn't mind, of course!! )

It can get a bit cool in October. But cool is relative. To us in SoCal 60f is freezing. There are a number of motels in Adelanto and Victorville. Don't have any names to hand. Maybe someone with a bit of knowledge can chime in here?

It can be hard to get a room in Adelanto when the SCTA is running. I usually stayed in Palmdale. Victorville is OK. I just like Palmdale better. Do not go to Lancaster Mo. 6.

 

Try renting an RV and make a weekend out of it? About the same $$ as a nice hotel.( well maybe not in adelanto??)

As of 12:30 today, nothing. According to the high desert store driver it is quite nice up there. There hasn't been much rain. Minor sprinkles that in Oregon or Washington wouldn't qualify as rain. But this is SoCal so all the weathermen on TV are going on about storms LOL!!!!!

Not all that bad. You're right between Maxton and Loring. Granted they don't have the magic of El Mirage or Bonneville but its LSR none the less.

 

I will be there with the Bean Bandits, probably in my gun metal grey '59 El Camino.
