Event Coverage El Mirage Roll Call! Who's all coming

I missed the Oct. meet because of a wedding but I'm ready for the year end finale! Who else will be there?

me.......hopefully the course survived our rain yesterday. The November meet was cancelled last year due to course conditions, so keep a lookout on the SCTA site for a "all systems ...go"..........

 

I've been watching the weather and the SCTA site so until they post a "no go" I'm on!

Doug, I was wanting to talk to you about some photos of the finish. I've made some changes in "stance" on the truck and would like to see how the dust rolling off the back compares now to the picture you sent me in Sept. Cheap wind tunnel.

 

Got my bike back together last night, Im wont know for sure until Fri morn?? I hate this not knowing shit!!

I'm planning on driving down. I'll be watching the weather like a hawk. My plan was to drive down to the San Gabriel Valley on Thursday and back up to El Mirage on Friday. Now I may wait until Friday to see what shakes. Wayno

 

If I had a pocket full of extra cash I'd throw the canopy on the 71 and ask for a couple more days off and go. I'm ready to do something beside work and cut and stack firewood.

Remember September? Saturday night had thunder, lightning, and rain all around the perimeter of the lake bed & we still had a great meet on Sunday!

Tell me about it Lance! I'm getting a new (for me) tow rig together for the trip and spending money I wouldn't have to if I had more time. If the show doesn't come of all the rush shipping will be a waste. Oh well, I'll be ready anyway.

soft spots by Visitor’s Center end.
Another update on Thurs. Nov meet still on.

 

looks like its suppose to rain Friday and Saturday.

 

got an email saying lake bed is open now and we're still go.... for now.

 

SCTA website says 30% chance of showers for saturday and sunday is "partly cloudy".
Both days forecast a temperature of 60.
The forecasts are improving slowly, but improving
Friday's forecast will be the defining one.
Here next to Pasadena it's 70 degree, 12% humidity and blue skies with some very high clouds on the west coming from the Pacific....

I'm leaving tomorrow at 9:30am for tech insp. Partly cloudy with 10% chance of precipitation, all weekend. Track was described as "Tight" best it's been in a while. Sounds good!
