Does anyone know how many issues were published?.......there was apparently one with a Snake & ****oose feature article........I have 5 issues but curious how many there were......thanks, Andy Douglas
Somehow, I think there were 11 published, but I can't tell you where that number came from. I only saw it on our local news stands twice, & would really like to find the whole run. Wish I still did e-bay.
I think the total number is nine issues, the Snake and ****oose feature was in the Spring 2013 issue.
....I have a few of those, it was a very well-done magazine with a lot of history,..kinda like Hot Rod Deluxe...
I'm quite certain that I found all of them, a total of nine. I got all of mine off the news-stand; I don't recall ever seeing a subscription offer. Final issue was Winter 2016 and was identified as "collector's issue: this is the last one" I agree that it was very well-done.
Elapsed Times was what we called in the industry a "one-shot". These were basically single issue magazines published using archival footage for the sake of bumping up news stand numbers. Note the "from the Car Craft archives" line under the logo. At the time, Source Interlink Media was owned by Source Interlink Distribution. How do you increase distribution? Produce more magazines for said distribution company to, well, distribute. As you can imagine, it wasn't a business plan that worked out very well, but at the time made the big wigs look like they knew what they were doing. Fast forward a couple years and all but three (two?!) magazines of some 30 are still published....

I think I have 7 or 8 issues but as they are packed away at present due to some major house renovations I can't be certain but I'll up the ante on the Snake & ****oose issue request....... .........I'm a more handsome dude that that guy pictured on the Poor Boys logo so send the issue when found to me...........lol........jeeze I'm full of it......lol........must be the early morning....wheres my coffee?....... ..........and yeh whilst it was essentially reprints or rehashes of previously published articles it was well done and as indicated by the fact that people still chase copies, sadly missed......andyd........
Exactly one year after my last post & I'm still searching for the Spring 2013 Snake & ****oose cover issue of Elapsed Times and if Loveoftiki reads this can you let me know what is the issue in his above pic showing the funny car with the lifted body and girl in front.....I've never seen a pic of this issue......I have the following issues......Annual 2012, Fall 2013, Spring 2014, Summer 2014, Winter 2015, Summer 2015 and the last Winter 2016.........regards from Oztralia.......andyd
Harv, thanks for the reply, yep I've seen the *** copy for sale for $57 US.......lol........I'd prefer just a plain copy without the gold plating so I'll live in hope.......dunno why I chased this thread up again but it made me get the copies of the magazine I have & start rereading them.....such a great magazine that didn't deserve to stop......oh well......andyd
