electric element heater / demister??

  1. i was just wondering if anyone on the HAMB knows where i can get an underdash heater/demister unit that doesnt require water from the engine to heat it?
    i have heard of 12v electric only heater elements , but dont know where to get one,

    help please?????

    Check with RV suppliers, and some truck accessory places. I've had two different 12v heaters in the back canopy/camper areas. They do pull some amps, but do work fairly well.

    i put one in a 32 i had a few years back, it worked ok for a heater. bought it from southern rods. i think i checked back with them a year later for a friend and they were out of them.

    I see them at flying j truckstops or loves for around 20-30 bucks.

    I have rain x antifog for inside my windshield but haven't used it yet

    Probably not so easy to find in good condition, if at all. Back in the day (a LONG time ago) there was a Lucas (shuddering) demister used on British cars. Suction cups held it to the gl***. All were 12V and they worked great. Somebody might manufacture something similar. Others will join in and give you more to work with.
