Im sure this isnt traditional so please forgive me. I have the deluxe rear window on my 36 5 window that would roll down if any of it was there, and not held up by a block of wood (not kidding). I bought a universal electric window unit for under $100, since I need everything except the rear cover to put back the original setup, that runs close to $450 ish on ebay. Has anyone done this setup before that has advice? Ill figure it out Im sure, but if someone has pointers Im all ears, when I can get out and start working on Rusty again that is. Have the rear rain gutter channel too, but like the rest of the car its a rusty pos thats going to need a bunch of patches and welding. Thanks, Eric.

I think it will be a lot easier just hitting a switch and moving it up and down while going down the road, vs reaching behind you and rotating a crank handle. Like my dads station 67 wagon was. Heck I ought to go take his tailgate apart and have a look lol. I’ll post what I do when I heal enough to get out there, possible 3 or more months though.

IMG_0643.jpeg IMG_1729.jpeg I have one in my 30 sedan. I believe it’s a Toyota motor and regular. Window run is basically stock. My window is a little shorter. The bracket was cnc fabricated. Pics I have are very limited. If you blow them up you can see it somewhat.

I didn’t do most of that work. I bought the car partially done including the window bracket.

Well at least you get to enjoy the hard work someone else did. I thought that with the last 2 that I sold, especially my 30 A sedan. Worked on it for years putting new wood in and turn signals and coming up with a solution to the tiny battery under the passenger seat that only gave you about 4 revolutions before it would die. All the mods I did problems I fixed and then sold it, losing money to boot. New owner just hops in fires it up and drives away with no idea what it took to get it to that point, and all the frustration I had doing it. Not this time they will bury me in this rusty pos before I get rid of it. Already upside down money wise, and sinking farther with every purchase. Think all I need now are some engine parts and a couple relays and a whole lot of time to finish it. Might need tires by the time I’m able to drive it gee hope so.
