Took the old 39 ford tranny with a mechanical speedometer out of my hot rod and replaced it with a 91 camero 5 speed. It has a electrical terminal for a speedometer, I see stewart warner sell an electric speedometer. Do I just hook it up and go or do I need some other parts like a sending unit or something?
    Thanks

You will need to determine what input signal the speedo takes and what type of signal the sender in the tranny puts out. Most electric speedo's use just a digital pulse count input signal, but I have seen some with DC pulse width modulated (PWM) signals as well. The OEM's like to use PWM senders for their cruise control systems. Stewart Warner should be able to provide a sender that will work with their speedo.
