1952-59 Ford electric wipers

Just wanting to know if anyone has a kit forsale,or if you
have made a kit to suit your 52 to 54 ford?.
Mines still the vacuum type,Were they avalible with electric wipers
back then?.

 

New Port Engineering (google their website) makes an electric wiper kit that retrofits right into the stock location...can even use the stock wiper switch ***embly using an adaptor. These guys have been in business for many years and make really nice stuff! Good luck!

 

I bought one from NewPort but haven't done the install yet. The stuff looks good and quite simple.

 

I got one for my '56 from Mac's, 12 volt vs 6 but they might have one for the older ones too. Their online catalog should tell ya. They included a hokey-looking knob for it but with some slight mods & an adapter/extension they also sell, mine will mount same as original.

ksk , take a look at the pics in my album ( Michelle's ranchwagon). I used rear (tailgate) wiper motor and pivot from a toyota hilux surf (4runner) and put the toyota pivot throught the centre of the ford wiper rack . PM me if you need better pics etc.

 

I used the New Port stuff (with the switch adapter) in my 54 and very satsfied. I used there kit in my 48 and TBird and they work great.
