Hello. I want to put a couple power points in my current build for GPS or cell phone use. It is a pretty simple layout: 327/ auto. Lights & turn signals. No power windows, doors, radio, electric fuel pump or fan, etc. Odyssey battery (I've used one in my truck for 10 years). Can I get away with having two such ports? Thanks!

  2. Good grief yes, look at the load requirements for the GPS and fuse accordingly....cell phone USB/cig lighter combo at Wally World

pretty sure a 327 won't like powering that modern electronic ****. Probably won't run right.

    :)

kidding, of course. I have even charged my phone with a generator equipped car! amazing how little the electrical system cares about the little things you plug into it

None of those items draw enough amperage to be a gnats *** on the electrical system

I have one port but a plug in that will accommodate both the phone and the GPS which will charge both devices at the same time.

I don't have power windows, power door locks, electric fan,air or a radio in the old beater. HRP
