Hot Rods Electrical

I am wiring up my 34 Pickup and wanted to know about the Lokar neutral safety switch. I understand about having the neutral but what wire to use? I basically have a starter wire and a selinoid wire and no backup wires. Will connecting the starter wire work? Thanks for any help.

 

Your break the solenoid wire and send it to the neutral switch, then when the neutral switch makes up you can excite the solenoid and the engine whirs over.
