More of a tip than a techy post really. Ok so all hotrods should only run red taillights, yes? So the brake lights double as indicators, right? The classic old style amurrikan system. Well if you use the retro style clamp on repro type indicatorstalk, the wiring is done for you. If you use a modern stalk or more specifically any system that would normally run amber indicators on ther rear, and you want the simpler old fashioned red brake light/indicators, you can buy a handy gadget from u-haul that is used for adapting what they call 3-wire system cars to 2-wire trailers. I picked one up the last time I was in the USA, and just used it to wire the rear lights on my 36 coupe. I had to use a dummy pair of indicators to get the loading right(strangely enough, parallel with the front flashers), but it seems to work ok. Cost was about $15, I think.
