Electronic 700R4 Worht keepeing?

Got one of these from an S10 I parted out, dont know if it even works cause the truck was a non runner, so its a core to be rebuilt...is it even worth keeping? It has electronics instead of a speedocable and I am sure its not cheap to r/b thoughts and opinions apreciated!

 

If the only electronics is the speedo cable and lockup (it's from 92 or older), and if it has the "big" 4.3 V6 bellhousing, then it's probably worth keeping or selling as a core.

 

Ya I guess I forgot to metion what year ! Its from a 97 and it was a 4.3. Thanks Squirrel
