Went to ElMirage from Texas for my 69th birthday.Stop at the race “shack” paid $7.50 a person(federal land) they pointed our car in the general direction and we drove for a solid 5-10 minutes in the general direction until u come across the racetrack(more dry lakes bed). Flat as a table top as far as u can see, the surface is quite hard;boot heel won’t even make a dent. Course was 1.3 miles long with orange-red cones determining the width. Cars take off and a trail of dust comes up chasing after the race car. Once the dust settles, the next car leaves.Cars that entered the race were in a bunch and everyone racer or spectator was very friendly. Most fun I have ever had watching the car making a pass.
