Embarrassing question that I should know

    When installing the thermostats in the block of my 1951 Mercury, which is correctly installed, the one on the left or the one on the right. One or the other would be upside down, if that makes a difference. Thank you in advance.

    Depends if the car is in the USA, or Australia.

    the one on the left is correct, you need the "pill" in the block so it heats up and opens the thermostat
     
  4. Like bob said, the one on the left. You could drill a 1/8" hole in it for air bubbles to escape.
