I haven't posted in a while but Iv,e got a question. I just started making embossed aluminum panels for vehicles door, rear decks or where ever flat panels can go. Is it a problem to emboss car names like ford, chevrolet, camaro or others into my panels? I am putting a link to my new site to show what embossing is. The site is new so I'll have to update as I get new stuff. I dont see big car companies selling aluminum panels so I dont see how it would hurt.

I think they look great. I've thought about something like that in my '48 coupe. I couldn't comment on the price, I have no idea of how much you've got in to making them.

  3. how tight of a design can it be or detailed or tiny?

Problem ? I'm sure you can handle the technical problems,
the potentialy more seroius problems would be legal.

In strict legal terms, all those names are trademarks,so any comercial use would required approval from the owner. It's no different than selling t-shirts with those same trademarks.
The big corporations want to approve any use of their marks, and images, and get a piece of the action.
Thats why Harley merchandise is so expensive,
and how they make more from merchandise and licensing, than selling bikes.

In the real world, you'd probably get away with making a few.
But check out the Cease and Desist letter that SO What got from the legal weasles for SoCal Speedshop.

can you go more than 1 "step"? like maybe overlay flames? where 1 set is raised HIGHER than another and what not? or is just 1 level.

    just curious they look neat!

The price is that because there a lot harder to make than bead rolled panels. I can and am going to make some different patterns just maybe not with the names. The detail cant be very small with my setup. I,m not ready to try overlaid flames yet. Really I have not put a lot of thought in that yet.

Some things are just a matter of time and money.
