Well I think the damage in my Plymouth Fury is beyond a quick repair, so I am looking to get a new 318 long block. Maybe I will take my time and rebuild the current block for another project.
I have been looking around on the net and found a couple of different builders, anybody have any opinions on these shops:

    S&S Engine Remanufacturing
    1023 N. Monroe
    Spokane, WA
    sandsengines.com
    rebuiltautoengines.com

    Precision Engine Rebuilders
    6835 Harrisburg Blvd.
    Houston, TX
    precisionengine.com
    rebuiltcrateengines.com

Any info on the quality/reliability/trustworthiness of these two builders is appreciated.
I am also open to other suggestions for options on getting a new 318 built for my car.

He built my 292 cid inliner Chevy and and a diesel John Deere for the company I worked for . Does anything , been around long enough to see it all . Tell him the guy with the tank sent you .

Geez...there has to be a bunch of engine machine shops in Reno. Many diesel engine guys will also work on gas stuff...

A 318 is a pretty popular engine... no big secret on how to fix 'em.
