I just bought a new project, a 50 club shoebox, with good sheetmetal for a good price and i have this 351 4V m-code 300 hp cleavland in the garage for 5-6 years, fresh never run. This motor doesn't realy do it for me in this 50 ford, bit of a odd ball combo, but it's paid for and in stock. Thinking it's a bit wide for exhaust, stearing clearance and heavy. I was also considering a t-5 but not sure if it would take the torque of the 351 c. I like the sbf 289-302 t-5 combo better for economy since i plan on driving this thing alot. I realy love flattys but not for daily use.
    Anyone put a cleavor in a 50?

The clevor would be the ticket. Same block size as a 302 just taller. Just don't do waht I did with my 5.0/289 combo. I pushed the engine back into the firewall. Nothing fits worth a ****.
