I have a L98 TPI 91 Vet ffice:smarttags" /><?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[IMG]Eng.. & when I hit the brakes hard the eng.dies, the car has power brakes with the master cyl. & booster on the frame. The brake work ok before I replace the injectors & the engine runs fine, but I noticed that I only have power brakes the first time & the peddle gets hard each time.
Thanks Phil

2. Sounds like you got a hole in your power booster diaphragm. These symptoms sound exactly the same as I had last week, I replaced the power booster and all's fine.

Thanks, how do you check the booster? & where would I find a vacuum diagram?
Thanks Phil

That's diaphragm. I'd just get rid of it. Hotrods don't have power brakes anyway. While you are at it, replace the TPI with a Blue Flame Six.

try blocking off the vac hose running to it(remove it from the booster) & try it.If it stays running take the booster out & thrw it away.
Then builtd a "hotrod" & go on "vette" web sites & see if they help ya with problems you have with a flathead!!lol
