Engine Gooru's...Need help or advice

  3. Look to the left of the 1-off crankshaft. This is the Clevite product. The other 2 are both in the cabinet below. It has been said that the white lube will clog the oil filters, and that is correct. In the late 70's we students were taught at Honda Motorcycle Private Training Center to use Anti-Seize on the camshafts and cam journals of the overhead cam Motorcycle engines. Shortly after we were all sent bulletins on NOT to use the anti-seize on the cams and journals as the Engineers in Japan were finding out that this too was clogging oil filters when used incorrectly. Engine oil only. TR

    Could you measure how many ft/lbs it takes to spin it over and tell us?

    I also recommend throughly cleaning the crank and using 30 wt. for checking crank movement and determining how many ft./lbs it takes to turn over. Heads are off, right?
