Hot Rods Engine ID 6 cylinder cross flow head

    Looking at this Willys jeepster for sale but I cant figure out what engine is in it.
    Seller is not a car guy so he just says its a 6 cylinder.
    Its a cross flow head inline 6 with intake cast into the head.

    Thanks just googled it up 6-161 “Lightning” F Head Motor.
    I did not know they made a cross flow, I have only seen the flathead six.

    That is a mixed bag mess with the intake valves in the head and the exhaust valves in the block. They also made a four like that that that came in the CJs.
    Stock in that Jeepster driven as a stock Jeepster it shouldn't be an issue if it runs good. There are a number of Jeep parts suppliers around for the older Jeeps so parts may not be that big of an issue.
