1952-59 Ford engine mounts

    so i was looking at Butch's swap sell it site for the engine mount kit for fitting the 302 in to a 55 and noticed than the part number for the kit is diferent between the 6 pot and 8 pot engines so is the engine mount cross member not the same ? i have the straight six and am weighing up my options

    I think the number of holes is different. I have a 6 cyl car and it had 2 holes for the motor mounts and the stud on the 302 mount needs to be right in the middle of the two slots.

    I just modified my mounts to make the groove longer.

    Then I used fox body mustang mounts. I put a level on the motor to make sure it was level side to side. That was all before I found this group with all the knowledge they have. Swap mounts sound so easy. Buy them. :)

    Really? An $8 motor mount is not very good quality? lmao
