Back in the day, i had an almost new 67 Impala Convert. 327/ 4 spd. Just to add to the confusion, on the inside of the glove box lid was a sticker that said "This vehicle is equipped with the Z-24 Power Option". It ran pretty well for the boat that it was (Saginaw 4 spd) limited slip rear.
Regular Production Option. I don't think they're anywhere close to new, probably started when you could buy a car in more than one color. If you couldn't get what you wanted as a RPO and you had enough pull with the factory you could get a COPO (Central Office Production Order) car built. These are REALLY worth some bucks now. Larry T
Yup, most of your super exotic high end muscle cars of the late 60's were COPO ordered and finished at the dealership. think Yenko, Baldwin/motion, and several others I cant think of right now cause I'm old Scot
He said CamEros. I wouldn't tell a soul it was a Camaro piece. Its a small journal so I would just say it was a 301. 'Sides not liking a car doesn't mean I don't like some of the parts. This whole Zapper thing got me thinking. When I was tunning for a fella in the '70s he wanted to name his '71 pro thingy ZAPPA, at the time I couldn't figure it out. I thought he was talking Zappa as in Frank and he was a county music guy. I remember twelling him that Moon Unit was a better name and he just looked at me like a cow lookin' at a new gate. I guess I understand now what he was getting at.
