I brushed POR 15 Ford Green paint on my flattie..... Still looking good. I like the shop that hot tanks after machining....removed any remaining "trash" from the machining process. 4TTRUK
Just an FYI, I have had good results, in fact very good results with standard color high heat engine paint in spray cans... However, I tried using high heat clear over a silver basecoat several times and found that the clear ambers and turns kind of a gold/green tint pretty quickly. I would NOT use clear over a lighter color again. Probably way better to just use base/clear auto paint instead.
the engine in my A is painted with single stage enamel with metalic flakes..nothin fancy no high heat shit.. the engine doesnt get much over 210..most coatings can stand that.. some engines where the exhaust ports protrude from the head, may show some scorching.. think of it this way..its a water cooled engine..so the point of the coolant is for the engine not to get blistering hot
