For doing the head & main bolts get a quality, say Craftsman, 6 point air wrench sockets. they won't tear up like the Chinese junk does. If I'm going to store one I use moly grease (lightly) on most wear surfaces, main & rod bearings, cam, rocker arms- pivots, valve tips, push rod sockets, fuel pump arm & concentric, timing chain. Before firing it up index engine, pull dist. & prime up oil system w drill motor. Brass freeze plugs are cheap insurance.

I took my time, read everything I could get my hands on and read it again. Talked to some of the mechanics at work, when ever I got srtuck I would hit them up. I helped out on my brother and nephews circle track cars (they were always rebuilding engines in the off season) so I took alot of notes. With the right tools and info you can do it.
