Hey all, so I'm getting ready to pull this 318 out and need to know what size bolts to use when mounting it to the stand. Also, what's a good way to attach it to the hoist to lift it out? I've seen poeple use straps on the exhaust manifolds but I would rather use a chain, just not sure where to bolt it up to. This is an early 60's Dodge truck that got a later non Poly engine transplanted, lots of room and the hood opens 90 degrees so once I figure this stuff out it should go pretty smooth. Thanks guys.

  2. not familiar with that motor , but i would probably use chains on the holes on the ends of the heads. or use a lift plate that bolts in place of the carburetor

as for bolting to your stand , i don't know....probably either 3/8 or 7/16? when you pull the bolts you will know for sure. the length will depend on your engine stand

i know , not much help...i'm sure others will know more

    nice looking motor
