Just got started here. Need some help. Just purchased a 1966 F-100 half ton short bed. It's really a nice little truck. It has a six cylindeer with a manual three speed on the tree. The engine has a cracked block. I would like to pull it and replace it with a v/8. I've been told that a 5.0 302 will bolt up to the six bell housing. I would kinda like to keep the three speed if possible. Anyone out there done this befor. I had a similar truck about thirty years ago and put a 350/350 combination in it. I would like to keep the Ford theme on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like go with a carb. motor and not have to fight the computer and wiring also.

  2. Wrong Page ! This page is for Introductions that are personal, that means about you not the block, or your car. Read the Sticky please, and then make a proper Introduction, and then post all of the questions that you want on the Main Page of the H.A.M.B. Message board. There will be plenty of answers there . Good LUCK !
