Technical Engine to firewall clearance 235 in a 1954 Chevy?

    Mine seems almost too close. I don't have big fingers and I can't slip a finger between them. How close should it be?

    I dunno about a sedan, but in my truck, I can barely get a knuckle through. As long as you can get the valve cover on/off, you should be good to go.

    I have go take valve cover off to replace the leaky gasket. That is why I noticed it. I guess we'll see if I can get it off.

    Same applies on my 41 pick up and same on my 52 sedan

    Didn't they come from the factory with 235's? Can't imagine a problem there. Tim
