engine weight

which weighs more: stock Ford flathead V8 or stock Chevrolet inline 6?

I would say the Flathead Ford V8 but not by much.

 

You didn't mention which Chevy 6....................this makes a lot of difference.
216/235 are monsters at around 630lbs, Chevy 194/250 are around 440lbs, think the 292 is about the same as the 216/235.

Ford flathead is around 525lbs.
