Engine Weights

Can anyone tell me the weight difference between the 1947 Dodge flathead six with 4 speed transmission versus a Pontiac 400 with TH400?

I'm looking at the Dodge truck, but the engine needs to be rebuilt. I have a Poncho that I can put together for much less than the flatty. I'm looking to see what weight difference there is so that I can plan my front springs accordingly.

The flattie by itself weighs about 650 lbs, its heavier than a small block poncho.

 

If the flathead does weigh 650 lbs, it is 50 lbs heavier than a dressed 440 and a small block mopar checks in about 500 lbs. Weight data directly from Direct Connection MOPAR Chassis Modification manual circa 1982. I am currently researching the vast array of available body/chassis/drive line modifications these beast are capable of.
