    If the factory does it that way, it's most likely because it's safe enough - and the cheapest way.

    you could speak with kugel komponents they sell an underdash brake ***embly.heres one modified a little [​IMG]

    Sooo, have we solved the perfect pedal problem? Or was it pushed to the back burner?
     
  5. Waiting on a few parts for a new idea.
    Heavier shaft, solid welded ***embly, non serviceable bushings, entire ***embly, pedal arm, pivot, and MC lever bolts on the outside of the frame rail. Probably way over built and gorilla on a bulldozer strong. Sleeping better.

    Personally I'd have a larger surface area in the brake pedal boss area and have a longer 3/4 36 boss that fully engages both sides of the pedal with welds on each side (Double sheer).
