I have a disassembled 241 Dodge Hemi. The block is under the workbench on a storage stand, heads are on a shelf and other parts are in boxes on other shelves. Block has been cleaned, measured and crack checked. Now it waits.

I bought it about 1 1/2 or 2 years ago from a hoarder friend just because I never owned a Hemi. I guess I'm the hoarder now? Picked up an Offy 4 barrel intake for it last year(?) at the Pate swap meet. Had planned to build the engine for another T roadster but have myself sidetracked from that idea right now. I've also considered taking the 2.5L Iron Duke out of my Model A coupe and swapping in the 241 Hemi, but don't know if I want to tear the coupe apart that much again since it took longer than expected to get it put together the first time.

A guy does have to have some inventory for inspiration and dreaming.....right?

    Holy moly.... That's a heap o hemis!
Lynn, everything in my shop, including the cars is for dreaming. I enjoy just being out there surrounded by old hot rod stuff and if I'm accomplishing something, even better!

Not under the bench, but under cover. A 0.030 over ‘67 Pontiac 400, 11.5:1 TRWs, big Crower solid lifter cam. It’s supposed to go into my ’62 Tempest, along with a 4 spd and the Corvette rear end in the background, if I ever get to it.

I've been trying to cut down on stuff I don't actually have an intended use for...Had quite a few engines, down to just a few now...

Bare 427/454 block, have all the pieces to put it together but nothing to go into
    Standard 283 w/ steel crank
532 BBC 800 horse race engine...was going to go in my Henry J but sold that...

2 364 nailheads, 1 with a dynaflow still on it. Also a 350 .010 good running long block. Got a 700R4 in a corner too, a complete rebuild with 2000 miles on it before the engine blew. Sorry, no pics. Gotta trust me...:D

  19. I used to have several 454's and 350's laying in wait for some day but cleaned house and let someone else that actually needed them use them. One of the well built 355's I just gave away to my friend that needed an engine for his model A build, which was much better than it sitting in my dusty corner.
Anyways after the clean out, in this corner we have a 489, 383, 454 and a 355

    20201013_071718.jpg

The only other I have not sitting in a vehicle is a nicely built couple thousand mile 11-1 355, that unfortunately had been sitting uncovered in a dry garage, so it'll need disassembled and cleaned before use. This engine is a perfect example of karma though, a friend gave me this after he heard I was going to pull the hot 355 out of the t-bucket to put into the 57 pickup, just like when I gave the 355 to the other friend for his model A

11 years Old photo, ‘57 392, and a ‘63 327 small journal, both are dual quad, and still not in use. Now I have a new four cylinder Burtz block Model A motor in progress as well. It may be the first to get back on the road. The table has a 45A body on it now, and the cabriolet body that was on it is now a finished car.

A Pontiac 6 cammer, if I had one of those, I'd hold onto it too!
Haven't seen a 351 Cleveland in a while. I knew Swade41 had a cool stash from the background of other pictures he's posted on other threads. Thanks for sharing.
Anthony, I thought I had a mess.... Did you know you have a hemi hiding under there? Lol.

Just an old 283 I hope to save some day. I'd put it in my '36 Ford pickup but there's nothing wrong with the 305 in it now and I doubt any one would notice the difference anyway.

A Ford 243 six pulled from my son's '48 Anglia. I added a home made tri power and now it's ready to go into my '49 Anglia project.
