thread ratings... meh... some people like hot rods, some like four-doors I guess.

I had to roll this thing out of the garage to clean it out, it was getting to be a bit of an obstacle course in there.

CHris, yea I better get a move on! yep, they're repros, got them from Macs, the mounting holes need to be enlarged/oblonged a little bit but they do fit surprisingly well. The bead lines up nicely, looks like the holes line up to the grille.

Hoping to have the chop pretty much nailed down this weekend, then onto the door bottoms, filling the top, and building floorpans... not necessarily in that order.

That chop was one of the most important things you've done.
Really you cut all the problems of the 4 door out of it!
I bet you get a boner seeing it in your driveway now!

From Chicken Shit to Chicken Salad. It looks fantastic with a chop. You have single-handedly given new hope to every four door out there.

    Andy... lookin good!
I was playing with it a little in photoshop...

slanted the roof forward a bit behind the body line around the rear window... then slid the whole rear section forward a few inches... taken out of the middle of the window and added to the deck panel above the trunk....

That really looks good Zach! I copied Kiwi Kev's method for this chop, he lines up the rear and moves th b-pillar forward. I kinda like the longer 1/4 window look. As far as the rear panel goes it'd in the stock location for a 5w, I just spent ages repairing that whole area. I'm actually planning on leaning the rear window area forward a tad, and flattening it a bit, leaving the driprails where they are... just a matter of cutting a few tacks at this point. What you've got there is bordering on a 5w with 3w roof proportion!

Here's one of Kev's for comparison...
