  1. Fuck yea Andy, that chop looks bad ass, I think you just increased the top speed by 20 mph.

sunday... yea... well, I managed to pick up a pretty wicked head cold, plus I went to the cavalcade of cars for a brief visit after work yesterday... turned into a longer stay than I anticipated but it was great to see everyone and their new cars and projects... Tudorfritz's AV8 sedan just knocked me outta sight! Nice work Scott!

I did manage to drag my ass out to the garage today despite my sneezy-as-fuck-runny-nose-throbbing headache-dry-cough cold doing its best to make me miserable, covered in snot, and slowing me down quite a bit... I perservered and got the door tops fit and tacked on and the windshield frame fit up.

thats what i call a 200 mph chop! see ya on the salt?? I built this Y-block for my 29, its a 256 out of a 54 Merc, adapted to a t-5, with a '58 ford ranch wagon bell housing. I really dig your front engine mount set up, can ya post some close ups?? keep it coming!

  9. Wow. Totally friggin' awesome. Looks familiar too. I also had a Y block sittin' in mine for awhile. Might still go that route someday. Great job, I'll be watching to see how you do your door frames.

I've been trying to get him down to NC but since he cut that roadster loose I guess he doesn't need nice weather.

What I want to know is why at 9:57am you're not out there working on that coupe since you slacked off all weekend?

hahaha, because it's 20* in the garage and my head is still pounding with cold virus... ugh... and I have to go open up the guitar shop in a few minutes. Supposed to warm up a bit mid-week here, woohoo!! Time to get my gas-weld on...I can work outside!

I've been welding like a mofo... so it doesn't really look like much different, but it's a lot less floppy! the chop is all welded up. Got the pass side doorskin fit up and installed, currently working on the driver's side door bottom/inner. Then it's on to the decklid opening.... I'll post pics when I have something worth sharing.

    More welding..... more grinding.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Gotta get some smaller diameter grinding wheels to fit my air die grinder to get into the nooks and crannies on the inner curves of the window openings.

  23. Andy the car looked really good when I stopped by today, hard to believe it started as a big old 4 door sedan by looking at it.
