Looks awesome, the only thing I'd add is take the middle hinge out while you've got the chance.

Thanks guys, Fltfoot, I wish I was driving it!

Haha, Del, nothing that looks like anything has been done... just a bunch of welding, little shit that takes eons to do like inside door corners, a pillar latch areas, inside windhsield header support reattaching, etc...I did finish up the column drop piece... I'll snap a few today.

Hey thanks, Brian. Why so down on the middle hinge?

I look at my '32 5W and there's no middle hinge, then I look at at 3W, a Model A, '33/'34 and the center hinge looks cluttered to me.

The car looks amazing as it is, I think taking out the center hinge will make it look "super amazing".

Ahh, I see... :) Unfortunately, it's probably gonna have to stay, at least for now... I'm growing tired of working on it, I want to drive it! Besides, it's hard to notice the 3rd hinge at 80mph..:D

I haven't looked at this thread for what seemed like a very short time, and now I check back and the damn car's almost done. Ridiculous.

The proportions are dead-on, I'm seriously blown away.

They're staying... I don't mind them, function over form right? Or was that the other way around...?

rear frame horns and spreader bar action tonight... think I'm gonna add a lil' pushbar too, but I'm gonna wait until the license plate is on there and see what it looks like.

Column drop and toe boards are done... Also welded some steel across the door tops to replace the wood and tie the windshield header to the b pillars.

No way, it's form over function.

  19. ImageUploadedByTJJ1333544915.443023.jpg I made my push bar the license plate bracket ,or is it the license plate bracket the push bar? Now I'm all confused, I gotta go sniff some more paint fumes.

Haha, interior... you mean old army tent canvas stretched over a stock seat! Body is off and on the cart, gave another few hundy to mac's yesterday too, didn't even get anything exciting! all the parts to assemble the QC, headlight innards, grillemounting/hood catch pieces, other small odds and ends.... I've had family in town staying at our place for the last couple days sooo... haven't got much else done. Gonna try to hang some exhaust, get the e-brake set up and working, and then blow the chassis apart for paint later today after they split.

  25. Ha ha, I just told Jen that I need to go put the brakes together on the Henry J and she could help me bleed them. Her reply was "it's Easter" I said yup and what better day to get the brakes working..lol

Got the exhaust hung... almost. Just some 1.75" straight pipes that exit in front of the rear wheels, I have room for some small mufflers if it's too obnoxious but we'll see. I found I'm two hangers short to finish the job though. So I switched gears and built an equalizer bar and mounting bracket for the e brake... then I ran out of steam. whew, my nephews are holy terrors and sleep has been hard to come by the last few days. Love those little dudes but man... girls are so much easier!!
