Reminds me if a cartoon in a '70s HRM...guy standing next to a vw beetle and a pile of parts and tools saying "Look what I made out if that dune buggy!"

Andy, was in town two weeks ago and hoped to stop by and see the coupe but a funeral and hospital visits took up all the time. Good old western NY cancer. You sir are a master of time management with all you get done on all your projects. See ya next trip.

Flipped her up on her nose to finish up the floorpan/subrail welding...

And drilled and pressed some floorpan bolt holes...

Looks like a piece of junk, haha. I took an old two-bolt y block exhaust flange, tacked it to a flat piece of 3/8" thick scrap and drilled a 3/8" hole in the center. put an old ford kingpin bearing on a grade 8 3/8" bolt with a spacer to keep it centered... Put the flange/scrap die under the floor and the bearing on top, bolted it together and ran it down with the impact gun. repeat as necessary...

    Barely hangin' on Jeff, hahaha!

I'm still waiting on the QC so I added a few leafs to the rear spring and swapped out the long shackles to buy me some floor clearance even if the rear sits a little higher. I figure I can shake it down with the rear that's under it, hell after some digging, I found it is actually a 3.54. once the QC arrives I can go back to the lower setup...

Body should be undercoated/seamsealed, back on the frame, roughed in and in primer sometime next week... it ain't gonna be pretty but it'll work! then:

    -wiring
    -windshield
    -battery box
    -fuel tank installed and plumbed

    ... test drive????

Of course! Haha, well you know how it is... I'm sitting here staring at a pile of unassambled, raggedy ford parts and trying to visualize a 700 mile round trip in them in a month on a shoestring budget... it's a little daunting, hahaha! At this point, I'm going to need some luck to make it a reality, hopefully no major head-scratchers make themselves apparent! (fingers crossed).

I did manage to get all the DMV paperwork filled out and ready to drop off, I'm just building up some courage for that trial...

Sh,sh,sh,sh,sh,sh,sh,sh,sh,sh,sh,sh... Brother Leroy getting his exercise. Thanks man. We got the roof, driver's door, quarter tops, cowl and windshield area all roughed in and ready for a coat of primer. Gonna try to tackle the rest over a few evenings this week.
