The distance will vary depending on where you measure the firewall. A BETTER measurement is from the spring center hole to a hole that the firewall bolts to. That distance is 32 inches. You can see in the photos below, there are three holes for the firewall ... the 32 inch measurement is for the second middle hole ( the frame has a small dip in it there ... or at least original frames do
