Hot Rods Epoxy primer over flash rust

    I think I'm losing it. In another forum advised the guy that was okay to put a zinc phosphate epoxy primer over flash rusting. Looking for some opinions. I myself would never take that chance

    sounds like a bad idea to me. But I guess if it is now sealed from oxygen and moisture, it would be ok. Still sounds like a time bomb waiting to go off.

    Unless a epoxy primer has a oxygen depriving pigment such as aluminum, stainless steel or mataciuos iron oxide it's not airtight. In the future there will be epoxy primer with zinc flakes can block the oxygen. This research is still ongoing.
