Technical Epoxy Primer

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by aw1950, May 4, 2014.

  1. Gun was all clean and ready to go . Vents were all clear . I think maybe were reading to much into this as the primer just sunk into the exposed filler . I had a high build on most of the body work on the door and fender . Those areas look good . What we see soaked into was areas that I hadn't primed with high build . Andy..

  2. Thanks for your input ! Point taken , Andy..

Were good here . Not the most expensive but not the cheapest either.

  3. No , Lots of light and heat . Not the first time painting but as I mentioned before It is my first time using epoxy primer on anything . I always used self etch in a spraybomb .Applied it, flash off , paint. The primer was mixed as per the instructions on the cans . 4-1 Ratio . Andy..

That appearance is not a problem. The soak in rate depends on the substrate.

  5. So in your opinion let it cure good and hard , sand with 80 grit . Hit it with a good high build and block it out . Repeat , Andy...

    AW1950, I don't think you have a cure problem.
