ePump identity

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Captain Caveman, Sep 3, 2013.

  1. Hi all...

I need to replace my Electronic Fuel Pump...as it seems to be struggling as of late..

it's offering very little if any information as to what it is...as far as manufacturer or model...

some numbers I got off a clear plastic sticker under the mounting band... 19375-117 and 0647A

any ideas? What other identifying marks can I look for?

Kinda depends on the number and kinds of carbs. Most carbs like LESS than 5PSI and some less than 2.5 PSI . Any kind of street car usually needs less than 30 GPH .

for a non performance car the lowest gph and pressure . thats a knock off of a holley red . what did it do ? motor quit working or no pressure ? if its a no pressure issue you can buy a rebuild kit from holley and rebuild it as its nothing more than a set of vanes in base and a new base plate and gaskets .if its a motor issue pitch it .
also this type of pump should be mounted close to the tank outlet as possible and below the fuel level they do not like to try to **** fuel over a distance .

  6. thanks for the response...it makes a short squeeling noise...and the engine dies. if I keep high engine idle...it seems to keep running...but stammers...like it's straving for fuel...it's currently mounted next to the tank..about a foot away

  7. ok...First I apologize for my mechanical ignorance...

but I forgot to mention this under the hood...

sadly it takes a smack upside the head for me to get things...but seems it's a holly Fuel pump (as I noted the sticker next to this pressure guage)...i'm going to "***ume" a Holly Red as Stimpy suggested...also..Im guessing..a 4 bbl carb? (Gawd I suk at this)
but Hey...I can fix computers real good

That carb is a 4 BBl Carter or clone ,they do not like more that 5PSI fuel pressure.
