    I was a fan, loved watching his interviews. He was close to my age, seems to hit ya a lil harder that way too.

    RIP and may your family, friends and fans always remember you for the way you lived life and always full of life. Whan i look at big ol puffy clouds i will wonder if your doing a big burnout for the big guy

  6. This is such a tragedy. Really hit me hard. I was lucky enough to witness his win in Seattle 2005. Seemed like such a down to earth guy. He will be missed. :(

    Tragic. Nobody should die having fun and entertaining others. My heart goes out to the Medlen family, nothing can prepare anyone to bury a child.
    Not to down play this terrible event but can anyone shed any light as to how the accident occurred?

    Kind of what I heard, except at half track(260). Ricocheted and hit both walls?!
    Absolutely terrible.
