From our Dutch message board..: Hi there Rodders, One of our club members rod is recently stolen in Lommel, Belgium. It is a yellow and grey '29 A Ford Roadster with a lot of Edelbrock stuff, Weld wheels, Lokar shifter, Accel, Autometer, etc... Licence plate AE-01-54 If you know or heard anything, please get in contact with me Leen van den Berg (0031-70-3514053 or dinter@wxs.nl ) DSRO - Dutch Street Rod Owners KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THIS ONE! Thank you!
Sorry to hear this Maurice. This guy must have gone through some shit to get it accepted by the RDW ( DMV ) in the first place, they were real dicks when I was still living there. And then he just gets the thing ripped off... I hate to have to say this, but maybe you should be on the lookout for parts. Post some more details on that car if you can. Is the Police helpfull at all? When I rented a shed to work out of near Soesterberg, I got cleaned out one night. They stole my brand new MIG and some hand tools. The Cop would not even get out of his car to take a look around, and then he had the nerve to tell me there had been a lot of breakins in that area, and I should have known better than to rent a space there...

[ QUOTE ] Wow, man. Wow. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I know... I was so angry that I told him things would not be so bad if people like him would actually do theyr job. And of course, that almost got me in trouble...
I can't imagine that car will get too far. It sticks out like a sore thumb over there no? Unless there's a ton of rodded 29 Model A's on the streets, I imagine it'll turn up quite quickly... Thieves suck.
Dutch cops = PUSSIES And no... You don't see too many Model A roadsters like this one around here. The fuckin' junkies who stole this car must be really dumb... And... Thieves should be executed!
ik hou een oogje open, vooral in de Belgische 'trader' papers. zie ik je Donderdag op de Scrapers open house?
Hopefully it was only locals who stole it, otherwise it could already be in a container heading overseas somewhere.....
http://www.streetrodding.com/sr/index.cfm?fuseaction=forum.topics....Has a New forum to post for stolen cars. Good Luck H
That really sucks. Hope it turns up ok. Did I mention I was in Lommel recently? Don't read anything into that! Mart.
I hate hearing these stories. It always reminds me of my A-pickup that had been in our family since 1930....thieves took it early 2003 and it hasn't been seen or heard from since...You have my sympathy.
Rocky... I remember when they stole it... I bet it still hurts you a lot... Cars that have been in the family for so long sure mean a lot to someone... Christian, Donderdag zijn we d'r ook! Tot dan!
Must keep eyes open, it would be stolen as a order job and aheads to Russia. Lots of cars, stoled from mid europe, goes to Russia throw Finland. Sad, very sad thing, I'll hope that car will be founded and thief be punished. Did anyone understand what I wrote? Littlebit tired, it's 4 a.m. and I'm working in graveyard shift
Good question... I just passed this on from our Dutch message board... I'll ask the question there. Thanks for the reminder!
Theives should have their hands cut off. Rocky did you put an ad in every littlenickel paper in the PNW?Also have you had posters put up at the PNW Googuys show?Just a thought.....Shiny
